American Red Cross

The American Red Cross is part of the world's largest volunteer network found in nearly 200 countries. They are known for disaster relief, blood drives, training, and support to communities. Learn how to prepare for emergencies.

Center for Disease Control and Prevention

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention works to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. Whether diseases start at home or abroad, are chronic or acute, curable or preventable, human error or deliberate attack, CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same.

EMS Subscription Program

Everyone experiences emergencies from time to time. They're simply a part of life. Unfortunately, they're also costly. Fortunately, we offer all residents of Wake County relief from direct cost of ambulance services. For $60 per year, you and all permanent residents of your household can receive emergency 9-1-1 ambulance service anywhere in Wake County as many times as needed. Learn more and sign up here.

FEMA

Their mission is helping people before, during and after disasters. FEMA employs more than 20,000 people nationwide. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., they have 10 regional offices located across the country and coordinate within the federal government to make sure America is equipped to prepare for and respond to disasters.
